The beauty (or sublimity?) of electracy, as Professor Ulmer reminded me in an email response, is that we–the “author” of the image–don’t necessarily need to nominate a single, official logo…the others of the internet will nominate on our behalf; all of our images “circulate without us”:

“The intention is that the logo will work as an attractor and begin to circulate without us, just as did writing, as Plato complained in Phaedrus (the words went about repeating themselves endlessly like children without the parent).”–Gregory Ulmer
